Safety Folder Workshop for Parents of Queer & Trans Youth
Parenting queer and trans kids in today’s world can come with unique questions and responsibilities. Affirming parents keep kids alive and well, which is why we want to support them this year on Transgender Day of Visibility. This workshop is designed to help families feel organized, prepared, and confident — not fearful. Together, we’ll walk through how to create a personalized “Safety Folder” that keeps important documents and affirming information in one secure, easy-to-access place.
A Safety Folder is simply a practical tool: a way to have key records organized in case they’re ever needed for medical care, school conversations, travel, or other unexpected situations. It can also serve as a powerful affirmation of your child’s identity and the thoughtful, supportive care you provide.
